Philadelphia 76ers coach Nick Nurse and guard Kelly Oubre Jr. have each been fined $50,000 for their actions after the controversial ending in a 108-107 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night, the NBA announced.

After a non-call on Oubre in the game's final seconds, both parties made their feelings about the situation known. Both are being punished for "verbally pursing and verbally abusing game officials," and Oubre is also being dinged for "directing an obscene gesture toward game officials."

Upon not getting the whistle and dropping the game, Oubre had some pointed language for the officiating crew. Though not quite as animated, Nurse was also visibly upset.

“Heat of the moment… This is an intense basketball game, Oubre told reporters afterward. “We’re not perfect. The refs aren’t perfect. I want to apologize for just losing my cool because that’s something I try to work on each and every day and try to represent God in the best way I possibly can and that wasn’t it. I just asked for forgiveness.”

The Sixers are 39-34 and currently in possession of the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference.
