Stockton Kings coach Lindsey Harding added another milestone Tuesday to a historic week in women's basketball.

Harding won the G League Coach of the Year award for the 2023-24 season, the NBA announced Tuesday. The Kings finished the regular season with a league-best record of 24–10.

Harding is the first woman in NBA history to win the G League's Coach of the Year award, which is named after Hall of Fame guard and former coach Dennis Johnson.

Harding, 39, spent nine years in the WNBA as a guard for the Minnesota Lynx, Washington Mystics, Atlanta Dream, Los Angeles Sparks, New York Liberty and Phoenix Mercury.

Before turning pro, Harding was an All-American for Duke as a senior in 2006-07.

The Sacramento Kings named Harding to their coaching staff in the summer of 2019; she had previously worked as a pro personnel scout for the Philadelphia 76ers. She became the first Black female coach in G League history when she was appointed Stockton's boss in June.
