Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo sustained a non-contact left calf injury during Tuesday's win over the Boston Celtics. With just three games left in the regular season, the team announced that the two-time MVP won't be back in action before the end of the campaign.

After throwing an inbounds pass to Damian Lillard, Antetokounmpo fell to the floor and was seen grabbing at his left leg. He was taken to the locker room and did not return to the game, and was later sent for MRIs which determined he'd sustained a left soleus strain.

The Bucks did not provide a timetable for Antetokounmpo's return, leaving some question as to his availability for the first round of the playoffs. The team stated that he'd receive treatment and have the injury evaluated daily.

Milwaukee (48–31) currently is the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference, sitting one game ahead of the New York Knicks and two games ahead of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Orlando Magic. The Bucks and Magic play Wednesday night in what figures be an important game in regard to the playoff race in the East.

This season, Antetokounmpo featured in 73 games and averaged 30.4 points, 11.5 rebounds and 6.5 assists per contest.
