Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards continued his ascent as one of the league's best young guards with a 36-point, nine-rebound, five-assist performance in Minnesota's 126-109 win over the Phoenix Suns in Game 3 on Friday night.

The blowout road win put the Timberwolves up 3-0 in the first round series and has sent a reeling Suns group to the brink.

Anybody who watched the game on Friday night could sense that Minnesota's win sucked the soul out of Phoenix, who has consistently had no answers on the defensive end for Edwards (or the size differential of the Timberwolves in the frontcourt) throughout the series thus far.

Edwards celebrated in true NSFW fashion as the Timberwolves led by 19 with just under three minutes to play, breaking out a "groin chop" during a dead ball.

While this series may not officially be over, it's hard to imagine a scenario where the Suns make the series competitive. Edwards and the Timberwolves felt that way after Game 3, and ride plenty of momentum into Sunday's Game 4 as a result.
