76ers' Joel Embiid Downgraded Against Hornets

On Saturday night, the Philadelphia 76ers are set to wrap up their back-to-back slot of games with a clash against the Charlotte Hornets, as they look to extend their four-game winning streak.
In their game against the Orlando Magic on Friday night, the Sixers dominated, with Joel Embiid's 36 point performance being the main talking point, as the Cameroonian superstar extended his 30+ point streak to 19 games.
Elsewhere on the court for Philadelphia, Tyrese Maxey found his footing from the field, dropping 32 points on 50 percent shooting, making it his first 30+ point outing in three matches.
While Embiid was the key piece of Philadelphia's offense on Friday night, the same may not be said about Saturday night's match, as he has been downgraded to questionable due to injury recovery.
The injury recovery status comes only after two return games for Embiid, who sat out of three matches earlier on in January due to inflammation and swelling in his left knee.
The potential loss of the 28-year-old against the Hornets is a big one, as they are a team in which Embiid usually goes off against, putting up an average of 30 points against them in his career.
While Nick Nurse has usually opted for a combination of Paul Reed and Mo Bamba to fill in for Embiid throughout the season, Reed may be the only candidate to play on Saturday night, as Bamba will continue to be out due to right knee inflammation.
The Sixers will take on the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday night, with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 p.m. EST.
