76ers News: Philly Lands Pacers’ Sharpshooter Buddy Hield
The Philadelphia 76ers are set to make their first move of the trade deadline.
A source confirms the Sixers are trading with the Indiana Pacers to land the veteran sharpshooter Buddy Hield.
In exchange for Hield, the Sixers are expected to be parting ways with the veterans Marcus Morris and Furkan Korkmaz. In addition, the Sixers are also expected to be sending multiple second-round picks in the Pacers’ direction.
In Hield, the Sixers land a reliable three-point scorer. While his shooting average from beyond the arc this season is down to 38 percent, which is below his career average, Hield has knocked down 40 percent of his threes throughout his eight-year career.
This season, Hield has appeared in 52 games for the Pacers. While spending nearly 26 minutes on the court, he averaged 12 points and three assists for a thriving young Pacers team. Now, he joins the Sixers, giving them much-needed help in the backcourt moving forward.
