On Wednesday night, the Philadelphia 76ers welcomed the Minnesota Timberwolves into the Wells Fargo Center, as they looked to bounce back off of a close loss to the Chicago Bulls earlier in the week.

Things would start off well for the Sixers as they started off hot, with Joel Embiid dropping ten points in the opening quarter, as well as solid contributions from the rest of the starting lineup.

While the Sixers would continue to keep the Timberwolves at bay, they'd have to do so without De'Anthony Melton, who left Wednesday night's match after he was helped off the court following a collision in the second quarter.

Melton's night would end with the former-USC guard dropping four points, while grabbing three rebounds.

Following the Sixers' win, Nick Nurse provided an update surrounding the 25-year-old's condition, stating that the injury was limited to his thigh.

"He took a knee to the thigh, nothing else is wrong with any part of his knee or anything of that stuff," stated Nurse, "it was in the thigh."

Nurse continued to add that the guard could be sore following the collision, as well as the team will have a better idea on where Melton is at tomorrow

"Those are sore, and those will probably be even more sore tomorrow," said Nurse, "but we'll get more of an eval tomorrow, but that's what happened."

Melton has had a clean bill of health all season, having yet to miss a game this season, which could change as the Sixers are set to host the Toronto Raptors on Friday night.
