76ers' PJ Tucker Exits Game vs. Rockets With Injury
On Monday night, the Philadelphia 76ers took down the Houston Rockets, 123-104, helping them close out their gap on the second-place Milwaukee Bucks.
James Harden, Joel Embiid, and Tyrese Maxey found great success from the field, combining for 77 points.
When the team took to the court in the second half, they were without PJ Tucker, who played only in the first quarter.
Tucker wouldn't return for the second half due to calf tightness.
In the seven minutes Tucker played against his former team, the veteran failed to score or grab any rebounds.
It's not certain if the 37-year-old's injury will impact his availability for Wednesday's match against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
If Tucker is to be out for Wednesday's match, it will be only the third time this season that the veteran forward has sat out, making him a perennial part of Doc River's starting lineup.
In the second half, Rivers opted to use Jalen McDaniels and Paul Reed in place of Tucker.
Reed made a case for why she should continue to soak up Montrezl Harrell's minutes, scoring six points while grabbing three rebounds.
For McDaniels, Monday night's match had a bit of gravity attached to it as he made his home debut on Monday night, scoring eight points and grabbing five rebounds.
McDaniels could feature more on Wednesday night in place of the Sixers' veteran forward if the injury fails to clear up.
