76ers Rival Watch: Celtics vs. Heat Game 5 Odds & Prediction
So far, the playoff journey for the Cs has been quite the roller coaster. After being taken to a Game 6 in the first round against the Atlanta Hawks, the Celtics faced elimination twice during the Eastern Conference Semifinals matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Boston avoided missing out on the Eastern Conference Finals as they issued a beatdown against the Sixers in Game 7. However, they have struggled in the Conference Finals matchup against the eighth-seeded Miami Heat, who are set out to shock the basketball world.
Home-court advantage meant nothing for the Celtics during their first two matchups. After taking on back-to-back losses, the Celtics went to a tough environment in Miami and hoped to get in the winner’s column for Game 3.
Unfortunately for the Celtics, they came up short once again. Miami teed themselves up for a series sweep, mirroring what the Denver Nuggets did to the Los Angeles Lakers in the West. However, the Celtics managed to pick up their first win at last.
With a 1-3 deficit, the Celtics will look to try to make it two in a row on Thursday night at TD Garden. A win for the Celtics forces a Game 6, which would take place on Saturday. A Boston loss would allow the Heat to advance to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2020, drawing a final series matchup against Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets.
