76ers Trade Rumors: Western Conference Team Linked to Tobias Harris
While the Philadelphia 76ers have expressed no interest in trading him, Tobias Harris' name has popped up in multiple trade rumors. With just about three weeks to go until the deadline, a new team has been connected to the veteran forward.
In a recent story for Action Network, Matt Moore broke down trade rumors for all 30 NBA teams. When discussing the Sacramento Kings, Harris' name was brought up. He reported that the Kings would be open to acquiring the Sixers forward if the team decided to move him in a multi-team deal.
"After missing out on OG Anunoby and then Pascal Siakam, the Kings will continue to look for a forward upgrade. Jerami Grant, Bojan Bogdanovic, and Herb Jones are among the names they're expected to explore options for. If the Sixers decide to get spicy and need a third team to move Tobias Harris to, the Kings could have interest."
Earlier this season, the Detroit Pistons were another team looking to acquire Harris. Aside from his production on the court, the fact that he's on an expiring contract could be upping his value around the league.
Harris had a bit of a cold stretch earlier in the year but has managed to turn things around. Through 40 games, he is averaging 17.8 PPG, 6.1 RPG, and 3.2 APG on 51/37/89 shooting splits.
Since missing a game earlier this month, Harris has been on a bit of a hot streak. Over his last six games, he has scored at least 20 points in four of them. The most notable being against the Kings, when he fell just short of setting a new career-high with 37.
Along with being a respected veteran in the locker room, Harris has proven he is capable of thriving as the third option behind Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey. Because of this, the team is likely in no rush to move him leading up to the trade deadline.
