76ers vs. Heat: Game Odds & Key Betting Notes for Monday
For the second straight season, the Philadelphia 76ers will compete on Christmas Day.
This time around, they are set to face the Miami Heat down in South Beach. It will mark the first matchup between the two Eastern Conference playoff contenders this season.
Last season, the Sixers and the Heat met for three matchups, with the first one coming in late February. Miami made it out of South Philly with a tight victory. When they re-visited the series a few nights later in Miami, the Sixers picked up a comfortable 119-96 win to even the score.
In early April, the Sixers and the Heat met for the third and final time during the 2022-2023 season. Once again, the Sixers struggled on their home court, falling short 129-101. Miami made it through the regular season, defeating the Sixers two out of three times.
When the two teams meet on Monday at the Kaseya Center, the Sixers will enter the matchup missing a couple of notable names. The starting center Joel Embiid is ruled out as he deals with an ankle sprain that he suffered on Friday in the win against the Toronto Raptors.
As for Nic Batum, he’s been nursing a hamstring strain that initially occurred against the Chicago Bulls last Monday. While the Sixers will benefit by getting some reinforcements back in the mix, they still face a tough battle against the Heat, who are looking to climb past the Orlando Magic in the Eastern Conference standings.
