76ers vs Hornets: Tobias Harris' Playing Status vs Hornets on Saturday

Will Tobias Harris play on Saturday night?

On Saturday night, the Philadelphia 76ers are set to take on the Charlotte Hornets, as they look to prevent a third straight loss, following a tough result against the Milwaukee Bucks earlier on in the week.

While the Sixers came out strong against the Bucks, managing to lead by eight points at half time, following a 18 point opening set from Tyrese Maxey, with Cameron Payne also catching fire from the field, scoring 11 points.

Yet in the second half, Milwaukee would start to creep back, thanks in part to a strong scoring performance from Brook Lopez, who managed to drain three shots from beyond the arch.

But the star of the show for Doc Rivers' team would be Giannis Antetokounmpo, who would drain 18 points in the second half, which includes ten makes from the free throw line.

While Milwaukee managed to pull away with the win, it was closely contested until the end, as Tobias Harris would have himself quite the fourth quarter, scoring nine points on 80 percent from the field.

Despite playing a key part in Thursday's game, the same won't be said for Saturday night's match, as the 31-year-old has been downgraded to out due to a sprained right ankle.

The sprain occurred in the match against the Bucks, when Harris was trying to make a play against Antetokounmpo, who was driving in towards the basket.

In the moments following the attempt, Harris hit the ground, wincing in pain, but just as he went out, he checked back into the game.

To replace Harris against the Hornets, Nick Nurse has a few different options to go to, including KJ Martin, Kelly Oubre Jr, Paul Reed, and Buddy Hield.

Harris' absence against the Hornets will be his sixth of the season, managing to be one of the more consistent features in Philadelphia's lineup this season.

The Sixers are set to take on the Hornets on Saturday night with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 p.m. EST.
