The Philadelphia 76ers’ biggest winning streak of the season might’ve been cut down on Monday night against the Chicago Bulls, but they can keep another notable active win streak alive on Friday night when they host the Toronto Raptors for a third matchup this season.

In their previous outing against Nick Nurse’s former squad, the Raptors couldn’t contain Philly’s trio of Joel Embiid, Tobias Harris, and Kelly Oubre. Each of those guys scored at least 20 points on Toronto, with Tyrese Maxey coming just two points shy of making it four starters in that category.

Despite forcing a slower night for the Embiid-Maxey duo, the Raptors couldn’t come up with much of a scoring punch for themselves. Scoring just 99 points, with Scottie Barnes leading the way, the Raptors fell short against the Sixers, collecting a 114-99 loss.

With that win, the Sixers extended their streak over the Raptors to five games. The last time the Raptors defeated the Sixers in the regular season was during the 2022-2023 run in late October. 

On Friday night, the Sixers will search for No. 6 in a row as they come off one of their most impressive victories of the season against the Western Conference’s top seed, the Minnesota Timberwolves.
