76ers vs. Spurs: Game Odds & Key Betting Notes for Monday
On Monday night, the Philadelphia 76ers return to their home court after spending a couple of nights on the road.
Last week, the Sixers had a busy schedule, which featured a series of back-to-backs. They started with a Monday matinee matchup against the Houston Rockets. In a game that served as the return of Joel Embiid, the Sixers benefitted from his 41-point showing as they collected their second straight win.
The following night, the Sixers hosted the defending NBA Champions, the Denver Nuggets. Looking to make a statement, Embiid scored another 41 points and defeated the Nuggets in a tight battle to pick up their third-straight victory.
After getting a few nights off, the Sixers hit the road to visit the Orlando Magic last Friday night. Although the up-and-coming Magic are working on securing a spot in the playoffs this season, they didn’t pose a threat to the 76ers last week, as Philadelphia snagged a 15-point victory.
The Sixers closed out the week with a battle against the Charlotte Hornets. It wasn’t the prettiest showing for Philadelphia, but it didn’t affect their record negatively. With an eight-point win, the Sixers notched their fifth victory in a row. Now, at 28-13, the Sixers are set to face the Spurs for the 104th time.
Last season, the Spurs stunned the Sixers on the road in late October and collected a 114-105 win. The Sixers got their revenge months later, closing out a high-scoring 137-125 battle against San Antonio on the road.
