Bulls’ Alex Caruso Could Miss Friday’s Matchup vs. 76ers
The Chicago Bulls already anticipate remaining shorthanded with their point guard Lonzo Ball still waiting patiently to make his season debut. Chicago could also be without another key guard when they face the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night, as Alex Caruso is on the injury report.
Per the Bulls’ injury report, Caruso is dealing with a right ankle sprain. As a result, he is questionable for the matchup and could miss Friday’s game.
Caruso’s latest injury concern occurred during Chicago’s Wednesday night matchup against the Brooklyn Nets. Early on in the matchup, Caruso went down with an ankle injury. Not long after leaving the court, the Bulls ruled Caruso out for the remainder of the game.
He finished his night after spending just two minutes and 41 seconds on the floor. He wrapped up the evening going 1-1 from the floor, scoring two points in the Bulls’ victory over the Nets.
This season, Caruso has appeared in 34 games for the Bulls, picking up 13 starts. He’s averaged 24 minutes on the court, draining 44 percent of his field goals and knocking down 40 percent of his threes, putting up five points per game.
In addition, Caruso averages four assists, three rebounds, and two steals per game.
The last time the Sixers faced off against the Bulls, Caruso checked in for 35 minutes. During that time, Caruso drained two of his five shots from the field and knocked down all four of his free throw attempts for nine points. The veteran guard also produced six assists while turning the ball over once. On defense, Caruso snatched three steals and blocked a shot.
The Sixers and the Bulls are set to begin their Friday night matchup at 7 PM ET. At this point, the Bulls’ guard is likely a game-time decision.
