The Philadelphia 76ers made two signings official on Monday morning. First, the team announced the signing of Azuolas Tubelis. The rookie out of the University of Arizona will join the Sixers on a two-way contract.

Over the last three seasons, Tubelis started in 89 of 97 games for Arizona. Last season, he averaged 20 points and nine rebounds while shooting 57 percent from the field.

After going undrafted last month, Tubelis was set to join the 76ers for their Summer League run in 2023. He’ll split time with the main roster and its G League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats, next season.

For their second move of the morning, the Sixers inked the former second-round pick Filip Petrusev to a deal. The former Gonzaga center will join the Sixers on a standard contract.

In 2021, Petrusev was one of three draft picks for the Sixers. After the team brought on Jaden Springer with their first-round pick, Petrusev was taken three picks ahead of the Sixers’ final selection, Charles Bassey.

Unlike Springer and Bassey, Petrusev started his post-college run overseas. Despite having experience playing in the USA after spending two seasons at Gonzaga, Petrusev was a Euro stash for the 76ers over the last two years.

In 2021-2022, Petrusev played for Anadolu Efes in the Turkish League. The young big man appeared in 22 games, averaging five points and two rebounds. After a run with Anadolu Efes, Petrusev joined Crvena Zvezda in 2022-2023. In 34 appearances, Petrusev averaged 11 points and five rebounds.

After multiple runs in the Summer League with the Sixers, Petrusev will finally get his shot in the NBA. He joins a roster that’s crowded with centers, as the team employs Joel Embiid, Paul Reed, Mo Bamba, and Montrezl Harrell. According to NBC Sports Philadelphia’s Noah Levick, Petrusev’s contract is a two-year deal.
