Former Sixer Patrick Beverley Reacts to ‘Cardio Game’ Outing
Arguably the most shocking move the Philadelphia 76ers made was trading Patrick Beverley to the Milwaukee Bucks. They parted ways with the veteran guard in exchange for Cam Payne and a second-round pick.
Beverley has had an up-and-down run with Milwaukee thus far, and recently had himself a "cardio game." In 16 minutes against the LA Lakers, he didn't record a single point, rebound, assist, steal, or block.
Following this performance, Beverley found himself on the wrong end of a lot of jokes. However, he managed to shake off the outing. The former Sixer took to social media and joked about how much cardio he got in that night.
Beverley has played in 12 games for the Bucks since being moved at the deadline. With his new team, he is averaging 5.5 PPG, 3.3 RPG, and 2.1 APG. Beverley played in his first game in Philadelphia following the trade at the end of February. He finished with three points and two assists in a dominant win for Milwaukee.
This year marked the second year in a row Beverley was traded on deadline day. However, Daryl Morey and the Sixers did right by him by trading him to a contender. The Bucks are currently neck-and-neck with the Cleveland Cavaliers for second place in the Eastern Conference standings.
Looking at the standings, Beverley could end up squaring off against his former team in a first-round playoff matchup. Following the loss of Joel Embiid to injury, the Sixers have slipped to sixth place. If the season were to end today, the third place Bucks would be taking on the Sixers to open the postseason.
