On Saturday night, the Delaware Blue Coats welcomed the Greensboro Swarm into the Chase Field House, looking to record their fourth straight win on home territory, having defeated the Swarm last week.

Yet there have been some changes since that win, as Jaden Springer has been sent down to the Blue Coats on assignment, as well as the recent acquisition of Darius Bazley from the Wisconsin Herd.

Both players would feature in Delaware's starting lineup, yet would struggle in the opening quarter, where Bazley managed to put up three points, while Springer failed to find the bottom of the net.

Else where on the court, Ricky Council and Terquavion Smith came out of the gates on fire, dropping seven points a piece, which wouldn't be enough to put them on top of the Swarm after the first period of play.

This would change in the second quarter though, as the Blue Coats went on a tear, dropping 47 points across the 12 minute period, with Springer finding his footing from the field, dropping 13 points.

Once Delaware was in the driver's seat, giving up their lead was never a thought as they went up ahead as far as 24 points, taking down the Swarm 139-119, with Smith and Council IV combining for 48 points.

Following their fourth straight home win, David Duke Jr credited their recent run of form to their team chemistry which is constantly improving according to the guard.

"I think guys are just getting more comfortable with the game, I think we're getting more comfortable with each other," said Duke Jr, "Making shots, sharing the ball, those things come with time and chemistry; tonight was a product of all that."

Delaware head coach Mike Longabardi had more than enough to say about the recent additions to his team, with Springer and Bazley's experience being one of their more important traits.

"It's priceless, those guys have been around and they've been through the tricks of the trade," said Longabardi, "They just know how to play, and anytime you can upgrade your team, it's obviously going to help."

Apart from his experience in the NBA, Longabardi see's Bazley's 6'9" frame as a game changer, given the Blue Coats' struggles on defending in the paint.

"We're getting killed in the pain, with the rebounding, and they still score too many points in the paint again...," said Longabardi, "His size, it's a big difference."

To the 50-year-old's point, Bazley currently stands as Delaware's second tallest player, only falling below Derek Culver.
