The modern NBA has built a reputation of being a high-scoring affair. However, that was not the case in the Philadelphia 76ers' matchup with the New York Knicks. By the time the final buzzer sounded, neither team scored more than 80 points.

Part of why this game was so low scoring was because of the plethora of injuries between both teams. The Sixers are still without their top two players in Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey. Meanwhile, New York was without the services of Julius Randle and OG Anunoby.

While they're dealing with injuries, the Knicks still had an All-Star in this game in the form of Jalen Brunson. However, the star guard had a night to forget. He logged 32 minutes in the 79-73 loss and finished with 19 points and eight assists on 27.3% shooting (6-for-22).

After the game, Brunson shared his thoughts on how he performed against the Sixers. He did not hold back with how frustrated he was with himself. "I played like dog s***, that's it," Brunson told reporters postgame

Brunson, similar to Maxey, was an All-Star for the first time this season. He is currently averaging 27.1 PPG, 3.7 RPG, and 6.5 APG.

For the Sixers, Kelly Oubre Jr. was the biggest standout in Sunday's matchup. Inserted into the starting lineup, he posted a stat line of 18 points, 10 rebounds, and three assists. Buddy Hield has struggled as of late, but managed to break out of his slump in New York. He was the Sixers' second-leading scorer with 16 points on 66.7% shooting from beyond the arc.
