Knicks Reportedly Have Trade Offer Ready for Joel Embiid

Knicks prepared to offer massive package for Sixers Joel Embiid

Dating back to the summer, there have been numerous rumors about the New York Knicks keeping tabs on Joel Embiid. Recent reports have emerged of what their trade offer would look like for the Philadelphia 76ers star.

According to Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Knicks are ready to offer a package that includes multiple first-round picks and a mix of players such as Julius Randle, RJ Barrett, Evan Fournier, and Mitchell Robinson.

While rumors continue to spill out regarding this situation, they are all one-sided. The Sixers have no interest in moving on from the reigning MVP, and he's shown no desire to move on from the franchise that drafted him. If he chooses, Embiid has the option to stay under contract through the 2026-27 season.

The rumor mill continues to heat up due to the James Harden saga dragging on in Philly. He's been away from the team for over a week now due to personal reasons. Because of this absence, his status for the team's opening night matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks remains uncertain.

Harden is away from the team, but Nick Nurse confirmed he's been in contact with him. However, his status moving forward was not something they discussed.

As long as this Harden ordeal drags on, Embiid will be a name brought up in trade rumors. Even though he finds himself with a disgruntled running mate again, the All-Star big man is keeping his focus on basketball. Embiid trusted the front office to do right by him in the past, and now it's up to Daryl Morey to keep building a roster worthy of contention around him.
