Philadelphia 76ers vs. Brooklyn Nets Game 2 Injury Report

A look at the injury report for the Game 2 matchup between the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets.

The Philadelphia 76ers and the Brooklyn Nets are set to battle it for Game 2 on Monday night in South Philly.

On Saturday afternoon, the Sixers and the Nets met for the first matchup of the series. In the days leading up to the game, the Sixers had two absences during their week-long stretch of practice.

Philadelphia big man Dewayne Dedmon and the veteran reserve Danuel House Jr. were among those who spent some time on the side. Fortunately for the Sixers, the two veterans returned to the practice court before the matchup.

Going into Game 1, the Sixers had a clean injury report. Although the team battled with minor setbacks occurring to their star duo of Joel Embiid and James Harden throughout the final weeks of the regular season, neither player was on the injury report for the matchup.

On Monday night, the Sixers are in the same position. Avoiding any in-game setbacks during Game 1, the Sixers remain fully healthy heading into the Game 2 matchup.

The same can’t be said for the Brooklyn Nets. While most of their key players were healthy and available going into Game 1, the Nets did leave their three-time All-Star Ben Simmons on the injury report.

Simmons, who suffered a nerve impingement in his back in February, missed several months of action as the 2022-2023 regular season concluded. Ahead of Game 1, Nets head coach Jacque Vaughn mentioned that Simmons would not make the road trip to Philadelphia. Instead, he would remain in Brooklyn, undergoing rehab on his back.

Other than Simmons, the Nets are healthy heading into Game 2. The two teams are set to tip off at 7:30 PM ET.
