Philadelphia 76ers vs. New York Knicks Preview

The Sixers close out their season series against the New York Knicks.

On Friday, the Philadelphia 76ers welcome the New York Knicks to the Wells Fargo Center, looking to bounce back off of a loss on Wednesday night against the Boston Celtics, 99-106.

Wednesday night's loss to the Celtics came not due to offensive theatrics from All-Stars Jayson Tatum or Jaylen Brown, with the first only putting up 12 points and the latter leaving the game with a fractured jaw.

Rather, the Celtics pulled ahead of the Sixers due to their role players finding success from deep, with Blake Griffin draining a season-high five shots from deep against Philadelphia, with many of the shots coming early on.

The Sixers managed to stay in the game until the very end due to the scoring numbers from Joel Embiid and James Harden, who combined for 54 points. Tobias Harris and Tyrese Maxey struggled on Wednesday night, with both failing to shoot above 22 percent from the field.

Going into Friday night's match, only Joel Embiid finds himself on the injury report with the same status that has plagued him for the past week and a half, questionable with soreness in his left foot.

On the other side of the ticket sits the New York Knicks, who come into Friday night's match off of a narrow win over the Orlando Magic

Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle helped lift the Knicks to their 30th win of the season, combining for 47 points.

The only starter who will be unavailable for Tom Thibodeau is Mitchell Robinson, who is recovering from surgery conducted on his right thumb.
