UPDATE: Tyrese Maxey is AVAILABLE to play, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

On Saturday night, the Philadelphia 76ers will fire up a back-to-back set, beginning with a matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Similar to Thursday’s game on the road against the Miami Heat, the Sixers have a handful of starters on the injury report. The starting point guard Tyrese Maxey is among those who are questionable to play.

Lately, Maxey’s been battling left hip tightness. The recent setback started after a Philadelphia loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers on March 29. After spending 42 minutes on the court in the three-point loss against the Cavs, Maxey got the night off a couple of days later. Without him, the Sixers took care of business on the road against the Toronto Raptors.

On Tuesday night, the Sixers returned home to host the Oklahoma City Thunder. Maxey was questionable to play for the second-straight night. Although he went through his pregame warmups, Maxey was not cleared for action, leading him to miss two games in a row.

Two nights later, the Sixers fired up a road trip with a game against the Heat. A questionable Maxey aimed to go through his pregame workouts again to determine his status. Fortunately, the Sixers were able to clear the young guard to play for the first time this month.

He checked in for 41 minutes. Maxey attempted 26 shots from the field and scored a game-high 37 points. He produced a double-double by dishing out 11 assists. He was one rebound shy of picking up his first triple-double in his career.

The Sixers are set to search for their third-straight win on Saturday when they take on the Memphis Grizzlies at 8 PM ET. For the time being, Maxey is likely a game-time decision.
