Joel Embiid is once again the Eastern Conference’s Player of the Week.

The Philadelphia 76ers wrapped up their week on Sunday night with a matchup against the Washington Wizards.

After struggling against the Wizards with two losses in three games earlier in the season, Embiid and the Sixers were on a mission to finish the four-game regular season series tied up.

Philadelphia found success thanks to Embiid’s on-court leadership. Spending 31 minutes on the court, Embiid drained 57 percent of his shots.

He also went 10-12 from the charity stripe. Embiid left the court in the third quarter with 34 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and four blocks on Sunday as the Sixers dominated the Wizards 112-93.

With their win on Sunday, the Sixers wrapped up the week with a 4-0 record. They are currently riding a five-game win streak with tons of help from Embiid, who’s been dominating on both ends of the floor.

In a matchup against the Indiana Pacers last Monday, Embiid dropped 42 points while draining nearly 70 percent of his shots. The following night, Embiid hit on 59 percent of his shots, dropping 39 points in fewer than 30 minutes.

Then two games later, Embiid had another 39-point performance against the Portland Trail Blazers as he hit on 65 percent of his shots from the field.

During the Sixers’ successful four-game stretch last week, Embiid averaged 39 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and three blocks. He hit on 62 percent of his shots and 50 percent of his threes.

Embiid shares the NBA Player of the Week honors with Sacramento Kings' big man, Domantas Sabonis.
