Tobias Harris Exits Sixers’ Matchup vs. Bucks Early With Injury
During the first half of their Saturday night matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers’ forward Tobias Harris left the game early.
According to The Philadelphia Inquirer’s Keith Pompey, Harris is dealing with left calf soreness. As a result, Harris has been ruled out for the remainder of the game.
In the first half, Harris checked in for a little over 13 minutes. During that time on the court, Harris put up just two shots. Both of his attempts from the field were from beyond the arc. He knocked down one of his shots, totaling three points. He also had two rebounds on the defensive end.
The calf issues aren’t sudden for Harris. Before the Sixers hit their recent road trip, Harris was pulled from Philadelphia’s Monday night game against the Miami Heat at home as his calf was bothering him.
After the Sixers’ loss to the Heat, Sixers head coach Doc Rivers didn’t seem too concerned by the in-game setback. Two nights later, Harris was on the floor for the Sixers in their road rematch against the Heat. The veteran forward checked in for 34 minutes, draining 63 percent of his shots, and scoring 18 points.
In the following game, Harris appeared on the court for 34 minutes against the Dallas Mavericks. Although he shot efficiently from the field once again, his night was quiet as he attempted just six shots from the field.
It’s unclear what caused Harris to re-aggravate his calf concerns, but the veteran won’t make a return to the court in Milwaukee on Saturday as the Sixers attempt to upset the top-seeded Bucks.
