What Time Does 76ers vs. Celtics Game 7 Start on Sunday?

The Celtics and the 76ers are set to battle it out for Game 7 on Sunday.

The Philadelphia 76ers and the Boston Celtics are set to battle it out for Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals on Sunday.

With tip-off time depending on the results of the Game 6 matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors, the time for Sunday's Game 7 between the Celtics and the Sixers was to be determined.

With the Lakers taking care of business and defeating the Warriors in Game 6, no Game 7 is necessary. Therefore, the Sixers and the Celtics will battle it out at 3:30 PM ET. in Boston. The game will be broadcasted on ABC.

The winner of Sunday’s matchup will punch their ticket to the Eastern Conference Finals. The loser will pack their bags and focus on the 2023 offseason.

The 2023 NBA Playoffs started great for the Sixers. As they clinched the third seed and picked up a first-round series against the sixth-seeded Brooklyn Nets, the Sixers had no issues taking care of business in the first round as they defeated Brooklyn in four games.

Wrapping up their first-round series early, the Sixers received over a week off between the first and second rounds. After the Boston Celtics defeated the Atlanta Hawks in six games, the Sixers and the Celtics fired up a second-round series.

While shorthanded, missing the star center Joel Embiid, the Sixers defeated the Celtics in Game 1. When the two teams met again for Game 2, Embiid was back in action. However, his return didn’t give Philadelphia the boost they needed to sweep the first leg on the road.

The Celtics collected a dominant Game 2 win and followed up with an impressive Game 3 victory on the road. For the first time, the Sixers trailed in the playoffs this year. Philly then bounced back with two-straight wins, one at home and one on the road.

With a 3-2 lead in the series, the Sixers had an opportunity to eliminate the Celtics on Thursday night in Game 6. Unfortunately for them, the Celtics weren’t ready to call it a season just yet.

Boston forced a Game 7 as they collected a 95-86 victory over Philadelphia. Now, the two teams will meet for the seventh and final time this postseason on Sunday.
