Will Patrick Beverley Return for 76ers vs. Pacers After Absences?
Lately, the Philadelphia 76ers have been battling without a couple of key rotational pieces. The veteran backup guard Patrick Beverley is one of them.
Following Philadelphia’s January 19 win over the Orlando Magic on the road, Beverley came down with an illness, which led to him being in danger of missing the team’s matchup against the Charlotte Hornets on the second night of a back-to-back.
Beverley missed his second game of the season last Saturday in Charlotte. Unfortunately, the trend continued a couple of nights later, as Beverley sat out from the Sixers’ Monday night win over the San Antonio Spurs due to the same reason.
Will Beverley Return Against the Pacers?
On Thursday, the Sixers are set to take on the Indiana Pacers for the third time this year. Fortunately, Beverley was a part of the Sixers’ practice session in Camden before they hit the road. Beverley, who was noticeably a part of the team’s travel party, is on pace to play on Thursday.
Excluded from the injury report against the Pacers, Beverley is currently viewed as available for Philadelphia. His presence should be a significant boost for the Sixers’ bench as they look to improve their current win streak to seven in a row on Thursday.
This season, Beverley appeared in 39 games for the 76ers. Averaging 19 minutes off the bench, Beverley has produced five points per game along with three rebounds, three assists, and one steal.
Beverley and the Sixers are set to tip off with the Pacers at 7:00 PM ET on Thursday.
