Following the Minnesota Timberwolves' Game 5 loss against the Denver Nuggets, it was reported that Anthony Edwards had savagely informed a Nuggets locker room attendant that the T-Wolves would be back in town for Game 7, an insinuation that the team would take care of business in Game 6.

They did just that on Thursday night, humbling the reigning champions in a 45-point blowout.

After the game, Edwards confirmed the reports, explaining exactly what he told the staffer in Denver after the Game 5 defeat.

"Hell yeah. They know, y'all was in there," said Edwards, gesturing to the media. "I told them, I said, 'I'll see y'all m–––––– for Game 7."

Minnesota won the first two games of the series before the Nuggets rallied to win three straight, including a 15-point victory in Game 5, after which the ever-confident Edwards vowed to force a Game 7.

He dropped a game-high 27 points on Thursday night, keeping the Timberwolves' campaign and championship dreams alive.

Now, the stage is set for what figures to be a hotly contested elimination game on Sunday with a trip to the Western Conference finals on the line.
