USC guard Bronny James is working out for NBA scouts at the draft combine this week, and naturally was asked about the potential of playing with his dad, LeBron James.

While LeBron has expressed in the past his desire to play with his son, that stance has softened publicly over the last year or so as Bronny inches closer to beginning his professional career.

So has Bronny ever dreamed about playing with his dad?

"No, never," Bronny began. "My dream has always just been to put my name out, make a name for myself, and get to the NBA, which is everyone's end goal that's here. I never thought about just playing with my dad, but of course he's brought it up a couple times," Bronny said with a smile.

"But yeah, I don't think about it much."

Reports have emerged this week that Bronny, despite the lack of gaudy numbers at the college level, could go in the first round due to the potential for him to sell tickets in the G League, as well as the potential of a franchise to lure LeBron away from the Lakers.

Of course, as long as LeBron is under contract in Los Angeles, the possibility of the Lakers selecting his son remains one to watch.

The NBA draft is set for June 26-27 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
