The Milwaukee Bucks try to extend what is by far their longest winning streak of the season when they travel to Washington to face the struggling Wizards on Monday night.

The Bucks rolled to their fourth straight win when they nipped the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night, 132-125. Giannis Antetokounmpo tallied 40 points and 14 rebounds in the win. Damian Lillard had his own double-double in the win, finishing with 27 points and 12 assists as the Bucks improved to 9-4 in the season.

Total team effort

Milwaukee missed Khris Middleton (right knee injury management), Jae Crowder (left adductor surgery), MarJon Beauchamp (ankle), and Chris Livingston (ankle) against Dallas, but the Bucks got ample production to survive the 73 combined points by Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.

Pat Connaughton, Bobby Portis Jr., Cameron Payne, and Brook Lopez also scored in double figures in the win, which was the Bucks’ fifth straight at home.

The Bucks’ current streak comes after they lost two straight in bad fashion. They have gone 7-3 in their last 10 games, which allowed Milwaukee to move up to the third spot in the Eastern Conference standings.

While the Bucks have been red-hot, the Wizards have been ice-cold of late. Washington has lost its last five games and is second to last in the East standings with two wins and ten losses.

The Wizards are just 1-4 at home. They have actually lost their last four games on their home floor and have not won at the Capitol One Arena since beating the Memphis Grizzlies, 113-106, on October 28th.

Injury report

Crowder, Beauchamp, and Livingston will still be out for the Bucks.

Johnny Davis (elbow) is listed as day-to-day, while Delon Wright (knee) is out for the Wizards.
