After playing six consecutive games at home, the Milwaukee Bucks will hit the road to take on the New York Knicks on Saturday.

The Bucks have just finished their six-game homestand, winning each contest to post what is by far their longest winning streak in the season.

The successful homestand allowed the Bucks to surge to solo second place in the Eastern Conference with a 21-7 record, just a half-game behind the 20-6 Boston Celtics.

While they have been solid at home with a 16-2 record, the Bucks have been so-so on the road, where they are just 5-5. Milwaukee's last road game was a 113-120 loss to the Chicago Bulls. The Knicks are 7-3 at home and have won their previous three games at Madison Square Garden.

A prelude to Christmas Day duel

New York is on a two-game winning streak, scoring back-to-back road wins against the Los Angeles Lakers and the Brooklyn Nets.

After their Saturday showdown, Milwaukee and New York will take on each other again on Christmas Day. Scheduled to play each other five times this season, the two squads have already met twice, with the Bucks winning on both occasions.

Milwaukee first beat New York on November 3rd, 110-105, in the group play of the In-Season Tournament. Their second meeting was in the quarterfinals of the In-Season Tournament on December 5th, with the Bucks pulling off a 146-122 victory.
