The Milwaukee Bucks will try to get back on track when they host the slumping Washington Wizards on Friday night.

It will be the second meeting between the two teams, with the Bucks eyeing a second-straight victory after winning in their first duel, 142-129, on Monday night in Washington.

Giannis Antetokounmpo went berserk in that game, tallying 42 points, 13 rebounds, and eight assists.

Eyeing a quick rebound

The Bucks are looking to recover from a 116-119 loss to the Celtics on Wednesday night. The defeat snapped Milwaukee’s season-high five-game win streak and denied them from taking the No. 1 spot in the Eastern Conference.

The Bucks are 10-5 on the season, targeting a sixth-straight win at home, where they are currently 6-1. Milwaukee will be facing a Washington team that has struggled to pick up wins.

Currently, at the 14th spot in the East, the Wizards are on a seven-game losing streak and are just 1-7 on the road. Washington’s skid is the third active biggest losing streak in the league. The Detroit Pistons are on a 12-game skid, while the San Antonio Spurs are on a 10-game slide.

The duel will feature two squads that are giving up too many points. Milwaukee’s opponents have averaged 117.4 points a game, while Washington gives up 122.9 points per contest.

Injury report

Antetokounmpo (non-Covid illness) is listed as probable, while Jae Crowder (left adductor surgery) is out for the Bucks.

Ryan Rollins (knee) and Delon Wright (knee) are out for the Wizards.
