The red-hot Milwaukee Bucks travel to Orlando to take on the Magic on Tuesday, hoping to pick up another win that would widen the gap between them and the Boston Celtics for the best record in the Eastern Conference. However, they may have to do it without ace two-way guard Jrue Holiday who the team has tagged as “questionable” due to neck soreness.

Repeat victory

It wasn’t too long ago when the Bucks defeated the Magic. That victory came on March 1 with a score of 139-117. Seven players scored in double-figures for the Bucks on that night, and Holiday played a huge role with 23 points and nine assists.

Should Holiday be held out, the Bucks won’t lack for options to plug in the lineup. Jevon Carter will most likely start, and he’s coming off a scintillating performance against the Washington Wizards in their last game. The hot-shooting guard sank six triples and scored 20 points in the 117-111 win.

Newly-acquired guard Goran Dragic and veteran wingman Wesley Matthews will also not be playing. Dragic, who the Bucks signed after he was waived by the Chicago Bulls, continues to be out due to knee soreness, while Matthews is still recuperating from a calf strain.

More on Giannis’ shoulders

More will be placed on Giannis’ broad shoulders on Tuesday night. The two-time MVP’s stat line will likely be influenced by the absence of Holiday and the other Bucks guards, as he may have to assume more playmaking responsibilities without them in tow. Giannis is averaging 31.2 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 5.5 assists this season, and he may very well need to surpass these numbers for Milwaukee to come out on top.
