"We'll be ready" - Adrian Griffin assures the Bucks are prepared for rematch against the Pacers
Upon prevailing over the challenge imposed by the resolute Chicago Bulls team, the Milwaukee Bucks will look to quickly regroup and prepare for a massive statement game coming up next - against the Indiana Pacers.
It's been just nearly a week since the Bucks have seen themselves collapsing in the hands of the promising Pacers under the bright lights of Vegas, ultimately failing to advance from the In-Season Tournament Finals in a shocking fashion.
But Thursday night, in the Fiserv Forum, the Bucks are about to approach a golden opportunity to avenge their tourney elimination.
Regroup and prepare
The defeat remains fresh and the disappointment is still in the memories of the entire Milwaukee squad. Adrian Griffin can only be straightforward that they are now plotting their plans to recover themselves from the crushing loss against Indiana.
With a two-day rest on the horizon, Griffin stands optimistic about their forthcoming preparations to execute.
“Obviously there's some things we got to correct so we have to watch the film,” he said. “We have two days as far as practice. Tomorrow we have a good shootaround. We'll be prepared for them.”
Deliver the payback
The In-Season Semis defeat inflicted by the Pacers exposed major holes and created speculations around the Bucks' circles.
From the “not organized” rant of Giannis Antetokounmpo, questionable late-game executions and the recent reported call-out made by Bobby Portis against coach Griffin in the locker room, the Bucks absorbed intrigue around the league about their ongoing growth as a title contender.
As such for Griffin, he can only assure that he and his squad will come out equipped for a much-needed bounce-back performance that would match the Pacers’ run-and-gun offense.
“We're going to watch the film. We going to put a good game plan together. Then you'll get to see game time [our preparations]," Griffin said.
"The players, they know what's at stake. They're very excited about the opportunity to again — to quick turnaround, kind of redeem ourselves against a very good Pacers team. Their offense is terrific. But I think we can make some adjustments and we'll be ready," Adrian concluded.
