The Bucks don't have home court this time around, but they do have more depth along the roster. While the team isn't likely to have star point guard Damian Lillard due to a serious blood clot issue, Milwaukee is still confident that it can win the series.
The team has Giannis Antetokounmpo, and they believe heavily in him as a leader. Forward Kevin Porter Jr. weighed in on Antetokounmpo, giving him a ton of praise.
“If anyone’s a fan of basketball and you get to watch — every night — the dominance of what Giannis does, it’s unbelievable,” Porter said. “It’s a blessing, honestly. …Me being here now and seeing the ins and outs and not just playing against it and seeing it from afar, bro, it’s destined for greatness. Nothing surprises you, what he’s able to do, if you see his work and what he’s dedicated to. It’s crazy.”
The Bucks know that without Lillard things will be tough, but they believe in themselves. The team has been playing very well over the past few weeks, and it should help them as they get set for this game.
Game 1 will be crucial for the Bucks as they try to take home court away from the Pacers. If they can grab this game, it could help set up the tone for the remainder of the series.
