Can the Milwaukee Bucks land Jaylen Brown?

Jaylen Brown’s future in Beantown is shrouded in uncertainty. With fellow star Jayson Tatum playing at less than 100% due to a sprained ankle he suffered at the start of Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Miami Heat, the Boston Celtics needed Brown to be at his best and carry the team to the victory.

Obviously, that did not happen as Brown sputtered his way to just 18 points on 8-of-23 shooting from the field. And although he had eight rebounds and five assists, he all but negated those contributions by turning the ball over a whopping eight times. Now, the seven-year pro is eligible for a super-max extension but will the Celtics offer it, or will they let him walk and start a rebuild around Tatum?

Brown is what the Bucks need

The Milwaukee Bucks need youth and athleticism, and Brown, who’s turning 27 later this year, fits the bill perfectly. He’s a good defender, scorer, and passer who could slide into the starting lineup right away and provide an instant boost to Milwaukee's offense.

While all this is just speculation, betting sites have already pegged the Atlanta Hawks and the Bucks to be teams that may snag the All-Star away from the Celtics.

Can the Bucks pull it off?

The Bucks have their own free agent decisions to make with starting wingman Khris Middleton yet to decide if he’ll pick up his player option for this season or start anew with another team. In the event that Middleton decides to decline his player option and sign with another squad, trading for Brown makes even more sense.

Brown is a great fit for the Bucks as he could be their starting shooting guard and replace Middleton in the lineup if need be. He's a very versatile player who can play both ends of the court well, making him an excellent addition to any team looking for stability and a strong two-way playing style.
