Losses have been piling up since the Milwaukee Bucks enforced a coaching change, and on Thursday night, they fell to 1-5 under coach Doc Rivers when they succumbed to a one-sided 105-129 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Going through a tough stretch

With the loss to the Wolves, the Bucks dropped three straight games for the first time this season where they are now 33-19. Milwaukee is just 4-6 in its last ten games, a rough stretch that pulled them down to third place in the Eastern Conference after sitting in second place for several weeks.

Rivers admitted he was hopeful that they could come up with a record better than what they accomplished in the last six games, but injuries struck, and the Bucks are now in a slump.

“I would hope for a couple more wins, but obviously, we didn’t know we were going to have the injuries along with that, and there isn’t much you can do about that,” Rivers said.

Doc remains confident

Rivers attributed the slump to the tough schedule the Bucks went through during the five-game road trip. Compounding their woes were the injuries that Damian Lillard and Khris Middleton suffered.

The Bucks have fallen lackadaisical as of late, but Rivers is undeterred, believing that the rough stretch will only make the team better.

“As I said before the game, obviously, you want to win games, and obviously, you would love to be healthy so you can win games, but something good will come out of all this stuff. We talked about it all the time. Sometimes you get to go through stuff to get stuff, and we’re going through it right now,” said Rivers.
