Giannis Antetokounmpo added another feather to his cap as he became the Milwaukee Bucks' all-time leader in rebounds, surpassing the great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. The "Greek Freak" achieved the feat with 7:50 left in the third when he grabbed a missed shot by Houston Rockets forward Tari Eason, giving him 7,162 for his career.

The franchise's chairman of the boards

Giannis had another stellar outing, putting up 26 points on 10-of-22 shooting to help the Bucks win their fifth straight game with a 128-119 win over the visiting Houston Rockets. He was also a menace on the glass, grabbing 17 boards, including this thunderous two-handed putback slam off a miss by Pat Connaugton.

After the game, Giannis spoke about his recent milestone, saying it's a "big compliment" to surpass Abdul-Jabbar's record.

"It's a big compliment. Nobody can ever take this away from you. Obviously, there's going to be another player that's going to come along in a couple years that's going to break all of the records, the same way that I don't think anybody assumed that they would break Kareem's record," Giannis shared.

Confident someone will come along and break his records

Records are meant to be broken. That's why Giannis is convinced that, at some point, someone else will come along and shatter all the franchise records he currently holds. This includes the number of games played, field goals, free throws, and points made, to mention a few.

"That a kid from Greece, a skinny kid from Greece that was drafted, supposed to play in the G-League, be in a position to break Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's record, I don't think anybody thought about that. So, I know for sure there's going to be somebody that's going to come along in time, and he's going to break all the records that Kareem set, Oscar Robertson, Marques Johnson, myself, Khris, and hopefully, if I'm not busy with kids and I'm not on the island enjoying my life, I'm going to be here and celebrating him and applaud him," Giannis added.
