Two of the vital cogs of the Milwaukee Bucks are among the statistical leaders through Week 15 of the 2023-24 NBA season.

Giannis’ all-around brilliance

Giannis Antetokounmpo has already put up 1,502 points this season to rank third in scoring in the league. Giannis is averaging 31.3 points a game, trailing Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia Sixers and Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks, who are averaging 35.3 points and 34.8 points a game, respectively.

Giannis is No. 3 in the rankings only because he has played more games than Joel and Luka. The Greek Freak has already played 48 games this season. Joel has only played 34 games, while Luka has already logged 41 games.

Antetokounmpo is also averaging 11.4 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.1 blocks, helping the Bucks to a 33-17 record in the Eastern Conference. While Antetokounmpo is one of the frontrunners in scoring, his teammate Brook Lopez is making his presence felt on the defensive end.

Brook is in a tight race with a rook

Brook has already accumulated 132 blocks this season, trailing rookie Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs by six swats. Victor is averaging a league-best 3.1 blocks per game and is closely followed by Brook, who is good for 2.8 swats per outing.

Lopez has already played 48 games this season, while Victor has 44 games under his belt. Aside from effectively manning the paint for the Bucks, Brook is also contributing in other facets of the game as he is also turning in decent averages of 13.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 0.6 steals per game.

Halfway through the season, the Bucks are currently third in the East. How Giannis and Brook will perform for the remainder of the season will undoubtedly have an impact on the Bucks’ campaign this season.

Despite losing three of the last four, Giannis believes the Bucks are moving in the right direction
