Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to lead all vote-getters for the 2024 NBA All-Star Game, amassing 3,475,698 votes from fans across the world. If the voting ended today, the “Greek Freak” would be joined on the starting five by Boston’s Jayson Tatum, Philadelphia’s Joel Embiid, Indiana’s Tyrese Haliburton, and Atlanta’s Trae Young.

Dominant as ever

Giannis continues to rack up the votes, thanks to another dominant showing that has pushed the Bucks near the top of the Eastern Conference, trailing only the Celtics. However, Antetokounmpo scored 24 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, and issued six assists to spank the Celtics on Thursday, 135-102.

For this season, Giannis is having another humongous performance, averaging 31.4 points on 60 percent shooting, 11.5 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game.

Young has moved in front of Lillard

Trae is the latest addition to the starting five, as he has edged out Milwaukee’s superstar guard Damian Lillard. Young has 1,449,485 votes, nudging in front of Lillard, who has 1,414,122 votes. The difference between the two is a little over 35,000 votes, which means it will be a close finish when the cutoff for votes arrives on January 20.

In the Western Conference, the starting five as of now is composed of the Mavericks’ Luka Doncic, the Warriors’ Stephen Curry, Phoenix’s Kevin Durant, Denver’s Nikola Jokic, and Lakers superstar LeBron James.

The highly anticipated All-Star Game is set to be held on February 18 at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in the city of Indianapolis.
