Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo got the most fan votes in either conference as the final returns of fan voting for the 2024 NBA All-Star Game in Indiana were revealed on Thursday. Giannis nabbed 4,309,630 votes and is a cinch to start in the Eastern Conference's frontcourt alongside Philadelphia 76ers powerhouse Joel Embiid.

Set to start

The selection of All-Star Game starters is determined by a combination of votes from fans, current NBA players, and the media. Fans hold 50 percent of the weight in the voting process, while both players and media contribute 25 percent each.

The leading vote-getters for the East's backcourt are Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton and Atlanta Hawks stud Trae Young, who overtook Bucks whiz Damian Lillard in the fan voting. Young got 1,815,898 votes, while Lillard had 1,730,036.

Over in the Western Conference, the Los Angeles Lakers' LeBron James and the Denver Nuggets' MVP Nikola Jokic lead the frontcourt voting. At the same time, the backcourt fan-voting leaders are the Golden State Warriors' Stephen Curry and the Dallas Mavericks' Luka Doncic.

East beast

Unsurprisingly, it's Giannis topping the frontcourt voting in the Eastern Conference. The two-time MVP has been a dominant force for the Milwaukee Bucks, leading them to the second spot in the conference standings thanks to robust averages of 31.2 points on 60 percent shooting, 11.4 rebounds, and 5.9 assists.

While some pundits expected Giannis' numbers to dip a bit due to the presence of Lillard, the Greek Freak has instead elevated his game and continues to establish himself as one of the top players in the league.
