Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo missed the much-anticipated showdown with the Los Angeles Clippers due to left Achilles tendinitis. According to Stephen Watson of Bally Sports, the "Greek Freak" went through his usual pregame routine but was unable to finish, eventually gingerly walking off the floor to receive treatment.

Injury has been bothering him for the last few games

Bucks coach Doc Rivers revealed that Giannis has been battling the injury for a few games. However, before Monday's game, it seemed like he was on track to play. But as the warm-up continued, it became clear that his Achilles was not responding well.

"It's been on and off for the last two or three games," Rivers said, referring to Giannis' injury.

"This morning, he actually looked good."

Khris remains sidelined

As for veteran wingman Khris Middleton, he remained on the sidelines recovering from the sprained ankle he suffered a month ago. Rivers bared that the All-Star isn't ready to return to the floor and hopes to have Middleton join the Bucks on their upcoming road trip out west.

"No. He's just not ready. He's close. Do we expect him on this trip? We're hoping, but again, if it's just not 100 percent for us, we're just not willing to push it right now. There's no need to," Rivers shared.

With Giannis and Middleton out, Damian Lillard carried the bulk of the scoring load, putting up 41 points to lead Milwaukee past the Clippers, 113-106.
