For the second straight game, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard scored 30 points each, and the Milwaukee Bucks posted the season's most significant comeback win via a 108-102 topping of the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday at the Fiserv Forum.

Giannis scored 33 points in the win, while Dame finished with 31 in the first game against his former team.

The duo scored 31 points on Friday night when the Bucks defeated the Washington Wizards 131-128.

After Sunday's win against Portland that saw the Bucks battle back from a 26-point third-quarter deficit, Giannis and Dame became only the second pair of Bucks teammates to score at least 30 points each - Marques Johnson and Brian Winters did it in 1978.

Starting to click together

Giannis said he and Dame scoring 30 points each for the second straight game indicates they are starting to mesh well.

"As the season moves forward, we're going to figure out ways to play with one another. Be more effective, be more efficient with one another, know one another's spots. We are getting to that point. We are really getting to that point," said Giannis.

The Bucks became an instant title favorite when they traded for Lillard. Even though the partnership of the two elite scorers did not translate to a significant number of wins right away, things have started to look bright for the Bucks.

Propelled by a season-high five-game win streak at one point and by going 7-3 in their last ten games, the Bucks moved up to the upper part in the Eastern Conference standings following a subpar 2-2 start.

The Giannis-Dame duo is becoming more dreadful

The Bucks are now 12-5, and fans can only point to the improved play of Giannis and Lillard as the reason behind the surge.

"At the end of the day, Dame has to be Dame. I have to be me. As the games go on, we're going to keep on figuring ourselves out," Giannis said.

The Greek Freak is averaging 29.7 points, 10.3 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.1 blocks this season, while Damian is good for 25.2 points, 4.4 boards, 6.4 feeds, and 1.0 steals per night.

The last two games showed the damage that the Antetokounmpo-Lillard pair can do, and for the Greek Freak, he and Dame can only get better.

"The moment we are clicking on a higher level, it's going to become even more scary as we move forward," Giannis said.
