Giannis Antetokounmpo is definitely dead serious about proving his worth next season.

It may be the off-season for the Milwaukee Bucks and the 29 other NBA teams, but the two-time MVP is already putting in work even if the next season is still several months away.

A warning shot has been fired

In a photo posted on his social media accounts, Antetokounmpo is seen with a ripped physique while getting shots up, seemingly eager to get back into action.

“I’m not negotiating with myself. The work will be done,” Giannis captioned the post.

It’s not the first time that the Greek Freak fired some sort of warning.

Last May, Antetokounmpo dropped a cryptic post, saying, "I'm tired of the disrespect. I'm coming.”

Although it was unclear what the post was about, it was likely that Giannis was referring to either being excluded from the NBA All-Defensive teams or the criticism that the Bucks got after their shocking first-round exit the past season.

Antetokounmpo will never be short of motivation in the next season after their campaign this year came to a shocking end. Giannis’s 10th year in the league was considered his most complete season ever after averaging 31.1 points and 11.8 rebounds, both career highs.

Painful ending

Antetokounmpo and the Bucks finished the season with a league-best 58-24 record to earn the overall top seed in the playoffs.

But disaster struck Milwaukee in the first round of the playoffs, where they got annihilated by the Miami Heat, who needed just five games to eliminate the top seed.

The shocking exit led to the firing of head coach Mike Budenholzer, who was eventually replaced by Adrian Griffin.

With the painful exit, it is understandable that the seven-time All-Star is already raring to go, eager to prove what he is really made of.
