Malik Beasley believes he can win the Three-Point Contest
Milwaukee Bucks shooting guard Malik Beasley is one of the NBA’s top marksmen, and he would love to have the opportunity to pit his three-point shooting skills against the league’s best in the NBA All-Star Three-Point Contest this year in Indiana.
Earn his spot
Beasley has been a valuable piece for the Bucks this season. He leads the NBA in three-point shooting percentage, making 47 percent of his long-range attempts. His accuracy from deep allows him to stretch the floor for Milwaukee's star players, making him a key contributor on a team with championship aspirations.
Getting an invite to the three-point shooting contest would mean the world to the seven-year pro.
“Obviously, I would love to, and I'm excited,” Beasley said.
“I don't know if you noticed, but the last three years, I'm top two, top three in field goals made from three overall in the last three years. So you know, I'm saying I'm shooting the ball pretty well, and you know what’s tough for me is the political stuff, so hopefully, this year, I get in. If I don't, man, I'm gonna support my guys.”
Thinks he can win it all
Beasley is confident he can emerge victorious in the competition if he gets in. He gave an example of what he could do on Sunday when he drained five triples in the Bucks’ game against the Sacramento Kings.
“I think I can win, and me and Dame already been talking smack because, you know, he won last year, so he thinks he got it easy. I'm like, ‘Bruh, If I come in, there is a new sheriff in town.’”
