Newly-hired Milwaukee Bucks head coach Adrian Griffin will quickly buckle down to work as he will be coaching the team in the NBA 2K24 Summer League 2023 in Las Vegas.

Milwaukee’s reshaped coaching staff will be in full force in the pre-season tournament as Griffin will be joined by assistant coaches Terry Stotts, Joe Prunty, Patrick Mutombo, DJ Bakker, Vin Baker, Josh Oppenheimer, and Sidney Dobner.

The Bucks will also have guest coaches Sergio Cristovao (Petro de Luanda – Angola) and Georgios Vovoras (Panathinaikos – Greece).

A first look at the reshaped coaching crew

The pre-season tournament will allow the new-look Milwaukee coaching crew to become more familiar with each other before the real battle begins.

Milwaukee’s coaching crew was retooled after Mike Budenholzer was fired shortly after the Bucks’ shocking first-round playoff exit the past season.

Griffin was then hired as Budenholzer’s replacement, and he brought in Stotts and Prunty, who both had previous head-coaching stints with the team.

Regular season players to see action

Milwaukee’s Summer League campaign will be headlined by MarJon Beauchamp, AJ Green, and Lindell Wigginton, who all played with the Bucks last season.

Also in the lineup are Andre Jackson Jr. and Chris Livingston, the 36th and 58th picks in the recent rookie draft, respectively. Hugo Besson, the Bucks’ 58th overall pick in the 2022 NBA draft, is also included in the lineup.

Milwaukee will start its Summer League campaign against the Denver Nuggets on July 7th at the Thomas & Mack Center.

The Bucks will then play the Phoenix Suns on July 8th and the Brooklyn Nets on July 11th. Milwaukee will cap its elimination-round campaign against the Miami Heat on July 13th.

The Bucks’ games against the Suns, Nets, and the Heat will be held at the Cox Pavilion.
