The Milwaukee Bucks have been mentioned as a potential landing spot for rugged veteran forward P.J. Tucker if, at any point, he's bought out this season. The 38-year-old has been pining for a move out of the Los Angeles Clippers, where he has not seen the court since late November after he was part of the trade that brought James Harden to the City of Angels.

Strong trade candidate

According to Yahoo Sports' Jake Fischer, Tucker is a "strong trade candidate," with the Washington Wizards possibly being his new home.

"The Clippers' P.J. Tucker remains a strong trade candidate, with the Wizards being mentioned as a possible landing spot, sources said. Washington would offer the opportunity of a buyout for Tucker," Fischer wrote.

Should the Wizards agree to buy out Tucker, the "3-and-D" forward would have the opportunity to join a contender with the Bucks and the Phoenix Suns cited as potential destinations.

Bucks reunion?

With his age and noticeable decline, how much Tucker can contribute to the Bucks' title aspirations remains to be seen. He was a crucial part of Milwaukee's march to the NBA title in 2021, playing the role of defensive pest on some of the Bucks' postseason foes, such as Kevin Durant and Devin Booker.

However, Father Time is undefeated, and the numbers indicate Tucker is in the twilight of his career. Last season, P.J. averaged only 3.5 points and 3.9 rebounds per game in 25 minutes for the Philadelphia 76ers. His production has dipped further to 1.3 points and 2.9 boards per night this season.
