Fans will want to witness the game between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Philadelphia 76ers on February 25th, especially after fiery guard Patrick Beverley expressed his displeasure over Philadelphia’s signing of veteran guard Kyle Lowry.

Beverley began the season playing for the 76ers but was traded at the deadline to the Bucks. Not long after, the 76ers moved to sign Lowry, who was traded from Miami to Charlotte before getting bought out by the Hornets.

Connecting the dots

It didn’t take long for Beverley to connect the dots and see that his former team practically sent him away to bring in someone with a close relationship with 76ers coach Nick Nurse.

“I respect it, right,” Beverley said on his podcast.

“Doc [Rivers] came and got his guy—me—and [Nick] Nurse went and got his guy—Kyle. But now I see Nurse's hand. Man, I'm on Kyle's ass when we play Philly. Straight up. That's just how it goes. That's just how it goes, like, how dare you?”

The makings of a fiery match-up

Lowry was Nurse’s point guard on the Toronto Raptors squad that won the NBA title in 2018-2019. So, it makes sense that Nurse would want to bring him along to his new team in Philadelphia. Although Kyle is at the twilight of his career, turning 38 in March and playing in his 18th season in the league, he still has much to offer, especially regarding leadership and experience in the NBA Playoffs.

But for Beverley, it was more than just a strategic move. It felt like a personal slight, and he's never one to back down from a challenge. With both players known for their intensity and physicality on the court, this match-up is set to be a fiery one.
