The NBA is a cutthroat league where players can be on a roster one season and become irrelevant the next. That’s why it’s crucial for players to take advantage of their opportunities when they come around. The Milwaukee Bucks can provide a great chance for some veterans to prove themselves and revive their careers with a new team. Here are a couple that can help the Bucks and, perhaps, help themselves along the way as well.

Will Barton

The Bucks may have a cadre of capable wingmen who can contribute off the bench, but none of them possess the kind of explosive scoring ability and shotmaking that Will Barton has. The 11-year-pro established himself during his eight-year stint with the Denver Nuggets, where he averaged 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game.

However, his Nuggets stint ended in 2022 when he was traded to the Washington Wizards, where he played barely 20 minutes per game and averaged a little over seven points. He was then bought out and signed with the Toronto Raptors where he spent the remainder of the 2022-2023 season.

Frank Ntilikina

The Bucks currently don’t have a backup point guard. And while the team’s decision-makers are not at all concerned with this, it’s always good to have one and not need it rather than need it and not have it. This is where Frank Ntilikina may step in.

At just 24 years old, Frankie Smokes has the youth and the defensive chops to play a role in Milwaukee. He was drafted 8th overall by the New York Knicks in 2017, and although his stint with that team and the Dallas Mavericks didn’t pan out, he remains an above-average defender and a capable ball distributor.
