Per a report by Brian Lewis of the New York Post, the Bucks have shown interest in Royce O’Neale and Dorian Finney-Smith. The Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas, Oklahoma City, Phoenix, Sacramento are also targeting Finney-Smith, while  O’Neale has also drawn interest not just from Milwaukee but also from Denver, Dallas, Indiana, Minnesota, Phoenix and Sacramento.

The report added that the Nets have already rejected an offer of two first-rounders for Finney-Smith.

Looking for quality reserves

The Bucks are looking to shore up their bench, and players like Dorian and Royce could be the right fit. The two forwards are putting up decent numbers in limited minutes for Brooklyn. Dorian is averaging 9.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.6 blocks in 28.8 minutes of playing time.

Royce is playing 24.3 minutes per game with averages of 7.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.6 blocks a night.

A perfect fit for Milwaukee

Dorian has already played 42 games this season with 31 starts, while Royce has already played 42 games with only six starts.

Should they be able to acquire Dorian before the February 8th trade deadline, the Bucks will have a 6-foot-7 versatile forward who can defend the wing and is also capable of knocking outside shots.

The 30-year-old Dorian is also seen as perfect material if the Bucks turn to a small-ball lineup with Giannis Antetokounmpo playing the center spot.
